Ingredients
Raw banana- 1 big
Dry red chillies- 4
Haldi/Turmeric – ½ tsp
Onion – cut into rings
Oil
Salt
Curry leaves
How to make
Scrape off the banana skin. No need to peel. Cut into thin slices and smear salt and turmeric on the pieces and keep aside.
Crush the chillies in the mixer. Peel and cut the small onions into thin pieces.
Heat the pan, add 3 tablespoons oil add the banana pieces and cover with a lid. Keep the flame low. It will take only a few minutes to cook the banana. When the banana gets soft, add the onions and crushed chillies and curry leaves. Keep the pan open and slowly turn the banana pieces and fry till they are crisp.
Serve with rice.
